Job summary

EssilorLuxottica seeks a Sr Specialist - Field Service Technician to install, maintain and repair RX optical machinery across major US cities. The role involves approximately 80% travel with 20% office work, and requires strong technical and communication skills.

Travel will be frequent; you will read schematics, provide remote support, and coordinate with service management. A high school diploma and technical training are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of mechanical and electrical experience, preferably with ophthalmic equipment.
• High School Diploma required; a technical degree (two- or four-year) is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to make decisions under pressure and facilitate customer solutions.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Proficient with basic computer tasks (Word, Excel, email, internet).
• Ability to lift and move up to 75–100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and perform maintenance on RX optical machinery.
• Read and interpret hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic schematics.
• Provide technical support to customers via travel and phone.
• Assist customer service and shipping with part identification.
• Maintain customer communications and documentation; update service records.
