Job summary

Ultra Optics, part of EssilorLuxottica, is seeking a Field Service Technician responsible for scheduling delivery, installation and onsite training of new machinery, as well as on-site repairs and troubleshooting for coating equipment.

You will understand machinery design and operation, perform field service at customer locations, document service reports, and ensure proper operation through testing, while travelling as required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
• 4+ years work experience in a technical/mechanical nature.
• Excellent aptitude in mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems.
• Good communication skills and ability to work on simultaneous projects.
• Ability to manage high levels of direct interaction with customers and focus on satisfaction.
• Must possess valid passport and driver's license with insurable driving record.
• US person: citizenship, permanent residence or protected status.

Responsibilities

• Schedule delivery, installation and onsite training for new machinery.
• Provide on-site repairs and troubleshooting support.
• Perform field service repairs at customer locations and lab procedures.
• Complete service reports detailing machine service and changes.
• Prepare equipment for customer use and test for proper operation.
• Travel to customer sites and manage travel expenses within goals.
• Attend trade shows and improve processes to reduce costs.
• Maintain a neat and safe work area and comply with safety rules.
