Job summary

Oshkosh AeroTech is seeking a Senior Field Service Technician to travel across the Western region of the continental United States, primarily in Oregon and Washington. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, upgrading, and maintaining a wide variety of ground support equipment, including diesel and electric vehicles, hydraulic and electrical systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 5+ years of relevant experience in machine assembly, light fabrication, previous contracting with Oshkosh or equivalent.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Proficiency in electrical diagnostics and repair.
• Proficiency in mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Travel approximately 80% of the time to customer sites to provide hands‑on service for aircraft tow tractors, container loaders, and other GSE with ICE or EV platforms.
• Diagnose, repair, and perform routine maintenance on hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Interface with PLC systems to upload/download programs and troubleshoot logic.
• Collaborate with dealer technicians for troubleshooting assistance.
• Maintain detailed documentation through work order systems and report on service outcomes.
