Job summary

Kodiak Gas Services is seeking a Field Service Technician, AMS in Midland, TX on a full-time onsite basis. The role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing natural gas compression equipment, with emphasis on safety and quality.

You will collaborate with customers and internal teams to keep equipment running efficiently. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in compressor maintenance, technical training in mechanical/electrical fields, and experience with Caterpillar G3600/G3500

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical or vocational training in mechanical, electrical, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of compressor maintenance or related industry experience required.
• Caterpillar G3600/G3500 engine experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and performs the job activities in a manner consistent with Kodiak’s procedures, goals, and objectives.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose all levels of compressor system failures.
• Builds and maintains customer relationships.
• Optimizes compression equipment performance.
• Completes the proper reports and actions required by the area’s operating procedures/policies.
• Analyzes the job parts and supply inventory to communicate with Supply Chain for parts availability.
