Job summary

Kodiak Gas Services in Carlsbad, NM is seeking a Field Service Technician, AMS Rotator Senior to maintain, troubleshoot and repair natural gas compression equipment. You will need strong mechanical and electrical skills and a solid commitment to safety.

You will work with customers and internal teams, perform inspections, coordinate parts with Supply Chain, and provide 24/7 coverage on a 14-day shift schedule, with overtime and on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of compressor maintenance or related industry experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and performs job activities per Kodiak procedures and objectives.
• Troubleshoot complex repairs and major equipment overhauls.
• Builds and maintains customer relationships.
• Diagnose compressor system failures and optimize performance.
• Complete reports and follow operating procedures/policies.
• Communicate parts inventory needs with Supply Chain to ensure parts availability.
• Prioritize repair work during competing demands.
• Assess repair/replacement needs and identify best solution.
• Perform inspections and maintenance to ensure unit health.
• Provide 24/7 coverage for 14-day shifts; overtime and on-call duties.
