Job summary

Group CBS, Inc. in Milwaukee, WI, is seeking a Senior Field Service Specialist to perform complex electrical testing, maintenance, commissioning, upgrades, and repairs at customer facilities, with focus on power transmission, distribution, and generation equipment.

You will troubleshoot, document findings, lead safety meetings, coordinate field projects, and travel to client sites with occasional overnight stays, while adhering to NFPA 70E and OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; higher degree preferred.
• Experience in electrical substation testing, construction, maintenance, troubleshooting, assembly and commissioning.
• Eight+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain NETA Level III or IV certification within 6 months.
• Project management experience to support field planning and cost management.

Responsibilities

• Execute mechanical and electrical tasks on equipment used in power transmission, distribution and generation at customer facilities.
• Read manuals and schematics, write diagrams, troubleshoot and solve equipment problems.
• Troubleshoot, repair, replace and clean components in substations.
• Lead transformer, cable, and circuit breaker testing; power factor, insulation resistance, SFRA, and related tests.
• Participate in installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment; plan safety meetings and training.
• Support management in planning, scheduling, execution, and cost management of field projects.
