Job summary

Hobart Service is seeking a Service/Repair Technician 3 to support Hobart Service customers with on-site installation and repair of commercial food equipment. The role requires diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems and performing preventative maintenance.

The position includes on-call, after-hours, holidays, and weekend on-site repair support. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, experience with HVACR, and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 4-7 years of food equipment service experience.
• 2-4 years of HVACR service experience is preferred.
• Industry certification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Installs mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, gas, and/or refrigeration equipment and leads advanced installs as needed.
• Maintains, diagnoses, and repairs commercial equipment for customers on contract or T&M basis.
• Interprets schematic diagrams and understands sequence of operations.
• Performs preventative maintenance and follows safety manuals and programs.
• Maintains assets including vehicle, tools, and inventory.
