Job summary

Oshkosh AeroTech is seeking a Senior Field Service Technician to service Chicago-area customers and travel as needed across the continental US. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of ground support equipment, including tow tractors, loaders, deicers, and transport vehicles, with emphasis on electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.

The role requires five+ years of relevant experience and a willingness to travel up to 50% of the time; it is hourly with overtime.

Qualifications

• Electrical diagnostics and repair capabilities required.
• Mechanical systems and component-level service knowledge.
• Hydraulic diagnostics and repair skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
• Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Must obtain a passport if necessary.
• Ability to work productively in a diverse environment.
• Travel outside ORD 40-50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Work onsite mainly at Chicago International Airport providing hands-on service for GSE equipment.
• Diagnose, repair and perform routine maintenance on hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Interface with PLC systems to upload/download programs and adjust controls.
• Collaborate with dealer technicians for troubleshooting assistance.
• Maintain detailed documentation through work orders and reporting.
