Job summary

Oshkosh AeroTech is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, service, and repair passenger boarding bridges at customer sites. You will collaborate with Customers, Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing to ensure safe, compliant operation and on-time completion of service activities.

The role requires hands-on technical work, on-site training for customers, and the ability to travel 70-80% to locations across the United States.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of hands-on experience in equipment installation, maintenance, repair, or field service.
• Ability to travel 70-80% to customer sites.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site assembly, installation, maintenance, rehabilitation, and repair of passenger boarding bridges and related Oshkosh AeroTech equipment.
• Work directly with Customers, Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing to support installation and service activities.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues encountered during installation or service.
• Inspect equipment to verify compliance with quality standards, drawings, and specifications.
• Provide on-site technical guidance and training for customers across product lines.
• Identify parts, tools, and materials needed for installations, repairs, or training activities.
• Communicate findings, corrective actions, and follow-up recommendations to customers.
