Job summary

snc is seeking a seasoned Field Service Technician IV to support advanced aerospace and defense systems. The role requires leading field teams, diagnosing complex issues, and delivering training to customers and staff, with extensive travel including international sites.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of hands-on experience, TS/SCI eligibility, and the ability to deploy to CONUS/OCONUS locations, while maintaining strict safety and DoD compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience as a technician or in a related field.
• Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• Ability to understand and interpret moderately complex technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications.
• Advanced understanding of troubleshooting techniques.
• Advanced electrical wiring skills.
• Ability to frequently travel outside the continental US, typically for extended periods of time.
• Prior experience with Linux and Java
• Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance is required
• Must attain Security Plus certification within six months of hire
• Ability to deploy for an extended amount of time to various OCONUS operating locations
• Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command requirements for deployed locations.
• Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment.
• Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays and shift schedules as required.
• Current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally.
• Willing to deploy OCONUS on an approximate 60/60 rotation.

Responsibilities

• Execute maintenance and repair tasks on advanced aerospace and defense systems.
• Independently manage and oversee complex field service projects.
• Diagnose and resolve the most complex and challenging technical issues.
• Lead, mentor, and provide technical guidance to the entire field service team.
• Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for customers and internal teams.
• Maintain precise and detailed records of all field activities and equipment status.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and industry regulations.
• Oversee and optimize inventory management for spare parts and tools.
• Produce and present detailed technical reports and insights to senior management.
• Travel extensively to customer locations, including international sites.
