Job Overview

The Field Service Technician IV is a highly experienced professional who provides top‑tier technical support, maintenance, and repair services for advanced aerospace and defense systems. The role requires exceptional diagnostic skills, leadership capabilities, and the ability to manage complex field projects independently.

Responsibilities

• Execute maintenance and repair tasks on advanced aerospace and defense systems.
• Independently manage and oversee field service projects.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
• Lead, mentor, and provide guidance to the field service team.
• Develop and deliver training programs for customers and internal teams.
• Maintain detailed records of field activities and equipment status.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and industry regulations.
• Optimize inventory management for spare parts and tools.
• Prepare and present technical reports and insights to senior management.
• Travel extensively to customer locations, including international sites.

Essential Functions

• Lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Use hand and finger dexterity with small mechanical components.
• Work in noisy environments and handle hazardous materials.
• Travel frequently to customer locations on short notice.
• Operate a vehicle for travel as required.
• Read detailed technical manuals and schematics.
• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment accurately.
• Navigate various work environments, including ladders and confined spaces.
• Maintain high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Follow safety protocols and mitigate hazards.

Qualifications You Must Have

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 5+ years as a technician or related field experience.
• Proficiency in interpreting technical schematics, diagrams, and manuals.
• Advanced troubleshooting techniques and electrical wiring skills.
• Frequent travel outside the continental US for extended periods.
• Experience with Linux and Java.
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Valid passport and ability to obtain visa for international travel.
• Ability to deploy for extended time to OCONUS locations.
• Capability to meet DoD and Combatant Command deployment requirements.
• Pass a pre‑deployment medical assessment.
• Willingness to work extended hours, holidays, and shift schedules.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Associate’s degree in a related field.
• FCC or FCC General Radio Operator License (GROL).
• Security+, Network+, Cisco CCNA, or A+ certifications.
• Knowledge of spectrometer, oscilloscope, and pilot static equipment gauges.
• Background in the aerospace and defense industry, DoD, or US Military.
• Experience leading and managing technical teams or large‑scale projects.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
