Job summary

ABB is seeking a field service specialist to lead on-site support for power delivery equipment across the U.S. This role requires residence in the U.S. and extensive travel (60–80%). You will troubleshoot systems, assist with spare parts, and coordinate field activities with the Service Team Leader.

A High School Diploma or GED with substantial field experience is required; experience with electrical controls and diagrams is highly valued. ABB offers strong benefits and growth opportunities.

  • High School Diploma or GED and 9+ years in a support or field engineering role.
  • Experience with power delivery controls including switchgear, transformers, relays, PLCs/DCS preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 60–80% across multiple states in the US.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary on-site representative to the ABB end customer and field personnel.
  • Assist customer with spare parts ordering, issues resolution and provisioning.
  • Read wiring diagrams and schematics; perform relay testing and basic maintenance; coordinate field activities.
