You will be in close cooperation with customers and other ABB teams, acting as the technical point while delivering quality service.As an Associate Resident Service Technician in Norfolk, VA you will be required to work independently and as part of a team based on customer/contract requirements.The work model for the role is: OnsiteThis role is contributing to Automation Energy Industries.You will be mainly accountable for:Provide site service to ensure safe and efficient plant operation utilizing ABB's Distributed Control System.All periodic, routine, preventive maintenance and shutdown support will be handled by you as part of your role (ABB Technical and Advanced Services will provide additional support where applicable at your direction).Troubleshoot distributed control system hardware, software issues, and manage technical support requests on the customers’ behalf to optimize system performance.Respond to customer questions, issues, and inquiries with accuracy and timeliness. Maintain a “follow-up” system with customers to ensure the technical advice provided was effective.Our team dynamicsYou will join the Field Service team, where you will be able to thrive.Work Experience: Qualifications for the roleHigh School diploma or GED required.
