Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Senior Field Service Technician to support the full lifecycle of customer‑owned transformers across grid environments. You will lead critical field activities, provide on‑site technical leadership, and work with customers and internal teams to ensure safe, high‑quality execution on diverse projects.

The role involves hands‑on testing, commissioning, and maintenance with extensive travel.

Qualifications

• Progressive transformer field service experience (5–10+ years with technical focus).
• Hands-on transformer installation, commissioning, testing, maintenance, repair and decommissioning.
• Experience with oil handling, vacuum processing and internal inspections.

Responsibilities

• Lead transformer service activities across installation, commissioning, maintenance, repair and end‑of‑life projects.
• Serve as senior onsite technical representative for customers.
• Coordinate field resources and ensure safe, compliant execution.
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting for complex transformer issues.
