Job summary

Tom Trese Networking LLC in Baton Rouge, LA seeks a field technician to test and maintain power distribution systems for petrochemical, industrial and utility clients along the Gulf Coast.

You will test, inspect and troubleshoot switchgear, breakers, transformers and relays; perform NETA acceptance testing; commission new equipment; and mentor junior techs. Travel 30-50% with per diem, company truck, full benefits and 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• NETA Level II/III/IV certification or equivalent
• 2-5+ years field testing experience
• Experience at refineries or chemical plants a plus
• Strong safety record per NFPA 70E and LOTO requirements

Responsibilities

• Test, inspect and troubleshoot switchgear, breakers, transformers, relays and cables.
• Perform NETA acceptance and maintenance testing during outages and turnarounds.
• Commission new equipment and write test reports.
• Lead and mentor junior technicians.
