Responsibilities

• Operational & financial performance focus for service department with strong leadership and growth orientation.
• Plan annual department goals, headcount needs and growth projections with branch/GM.
• Recruit, train, develop, and retain service technicians; provide guidance on training and performance reviews.
• Collaborate with other Hiller support teams to ensure optimal operations of all Service Department functions.
• Coordinate and manage regular service team meetings to enable effective communication and collaboration.
• Build a high-performance team that is efficient, productive, and cost effective.
• Mentor, ensure professional development, and regularly review team performance.
• Communicate with customers and colleagues to resolve issues and maintain satisfaction.
• Support sales efforts through market leads and price optimizations.
• Review, schedule, and execute service, inspection, testing, and maintenance contracts to meet customer needs.
• Ensure time charging on jobs is accurate for proper costing.
• Use scheduling/invoicing systems to schedule calls and generate invoices timely.
• Monitor and ensure certifications are up to date for Service Department staff.
• Commit to Safety culture and ensure PPE and tools for work are provided.
• Establish quality control measures and ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices.
