Job summary

Bartech Staffing is seeking a Service Department Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of the service department, conducting diagnostics, repairs, maintenance, pre-delivery, and installation work on equipment for customers. Work may be at the facility or in the field, with a focus on high quality and efficiency.

The role requires leading field service engineers, designing training to stay current with industry developments, thorough documentation, and strong customer communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in laser technologies or similar preferred.
• 5 to 7 years of related work experience.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and willingness to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Manage, schedule, and mentor field service engineers and technicians.
• Design service engineer/technician training to keep pace with industry developments.
• Perform diagnostics, repair, and reconditioning of machine systems and components.
• Complete thorough documentation on all reports and forms required with work assignments.
• Communicate machinery problems and resolutions to supervisor and customers.
• Maintain service logs, sales order organization, spare parts inventory, and budget/expense documentation.
• Project a professional image in the presence of customers and partner companies.
