Job summary

Generac Power Systems is seeking a Technical Field Service Manager to provide on-site and phone troubleshooting, installation support, and sales assistance for industrial power generation equipment in data center environments.

The role emphasizes ensuring customer satisfaction, coordinating with regional teams, and contributing to product improvements. Up to 50% travel may be required, and a strong engineering background is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• 10 years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and phone troubleshooting for data center customers.
• Assist in site certification, operation and EPA testing.
• Assist with the development and distribution of service and parts bulletins.
• Assist sales managers with new customer product training.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers’ sales and service managers.
• Coordinate customer calls with regional sales managers.
• Provide sales support by helping customers select the correct equipment.
• Provide input to engineering during new product initiation and improvements.
• Provide field feedback to Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Manufacturing and Technical Support.
• Prepare written weekly reports to management on product issues and upsell opportunities.
• Assist with manual content and accuracy in Technical Publications.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
