Job summary

IT Resource Hunter in Austin, TX seeks a Senior Field Service Engineer to support semiconductor equipment at customer sites. The role collaborates with R&D teams to guide technology development of new products.

The FSE will install, service, train customers, and manage spare parts while adhering to safety and contractual guidelines. It is a full-time on-site position requiring teamwork and proactive problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 3 years of field service or related experience.
• Ability to perform manual and physical labor in cleanroom environments.
• Experience with semiconductor metrology equipment is preferred.
• Familiarity with SECS/HSMS communication protocols.

Responsibilities

• Support clients and end users under warranty and service agreements.
• Maintain proper reporting for all activities of customer support as defined by Service Manager.
• Assist in new equipment installations, add-ons, and upgrades.
• Produce regular reports to customer and Client management.
• Provide customer training and retraining.
• Ensure an adequate level of know-how among customers/users.
• Manage Client's parts inventory at locations assigned to this position.
• Assist in setting Client's spare parts to maintain proper levels of stock in accordance with Company policy.
• Repair parts and components according to general service policy.
