Job summary

Plasma-Therm LLC in Livermore, CA, is seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer IV to lead installation and troubleshooting of Quazar Ion Beam systems. You will drive tool integration, preventive maintenance, and on-site support with strong customer-facing leadership.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in semiconductor capital equipment field service, deep ion beam knowledge, and excellent communication, with willingness to travel domestically and internationally and participate in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

8+ years field service or equipment engineering in semiconductor manufacturing.
Bachelor's or Associate degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics or related field.
Strong written and verbal communication for customer escalation management.

Responsibilities

Lead installation, startup, preventive maintenance, upgrades and on-site support for Quazar Ion Beam systems.
Coordinate with engineering and manufacturing on system build and integration activities.
Prepare troubleshooting guides, checklists and service procedures for field deployment.
Oversee on-site tool move-in, chamber prep, vacuum checks, and FAT execution.
Interface with customer fab teams to maintain schedules and resolve startup issues.
