Job summary

Joby Aviation is seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer to provide advanced engineering support for J208 aircraft deployed on Operational Evaluations. You will act as the primary technical expert on-site, troubleshooting multidisciplinary interactions and communicating results to customers and internal teams.

This role requires partnering with development teams to capture field feedback, developing operational guidelines, and aiding in the creation of manuals as prototypes evolve.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant engineering experience in field service or flight test support.
• Experience troubleshooting complex multidisciplinary systems in deployed environments.
• Active US Security Clearance or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage engineering support workstreams for deployed J208 aircraft and Ground Control Stations.
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues involving mechanical, electrical, avionics, and flight software interactions.
• Brief stakeholders on system health, results, and readiness.
