Job summary

Vertiv seeks a Senior Field Engineer to supervise field service teams, perform advanced testing and support regional engineers. You will lead large-scale projects, prepare estimates, and maintain detailed reporting and billing for electrical systems across service areas.

The role requires extensive NEC/OSHA knowledge, international travel, and strong communication skills. A technical engineering background and leadership experience are essential, with on-site work across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code and OSHA/NFPA standards.
• Special skills in power quality surveys, start-up testing, ANSI/NEC/NEMA/U.L. specs.
• Experience with switchgear and equipment testing up to 500-kV class.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, supervisory and management abilities.
• Willing to travel internationally for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train and assist field service engineers and technicians in the district.
• Perform complex troubleshooting, tests, inspections and appraisals on electrical systems.
• Lead large projects such as generator tests, substation turnkeys and power surveys.
• Prepare job estimates, proposals, field scheduling, reports and billing.
• Write end-of-project reports promptly and ensure accurate billing.
• Interface with clients and contribute to business development activities.
