Job summary

IEM in Charlotte, NC seeks a Senior Field Service Representative to perform start-up, commissioning, installation, testing, troubleshooting, service and repair of IEM equipment, including switchboards and power products. The role operates independently with limited supervision and supports critical customer engagements.

You will mentor Field Service Technicians, coordinate with project teams, document root causes and corrective actions, and travel to customer sites up to 75%.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in power distribution systems.
• 3+ years related electrical, mechanical, technical, or field service experience preferred.
• Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, and service documentation.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision and elevate issues appropriately.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced start-up, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, service and repair of IEM equipment.
• Install and support electrical or mechanical components and subassemblies.
• Lead or support complex field service activities and escalate issues as needed.
• Attend project meetings and coordinate with internal teams and contractors.
• Analyze system failures and determine corrective actions for complex issues.
• Document service activities, root cause analysis, and follow-up items.
