Job summary

Siemens in the United States is seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer or Senior Electrical Services Specialist to support I&C on power distribution equipment at Hyper-Scale Data Center sites. Responsibilities include setting up networks, uploading PLC programs, and on-site commissioning and training.

The role requires 5+ years’ experience with electrical control circuits and switchgear, plus travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

5+ years troubleshooting electrical control circuits; thermography certification an asset.
5+ years installation/maintenance of Power Automation Switchboards.
5+ years of AC/DC high potential testing and related tests.
Ability to read bills of material, electrical blueprints, and power system study reports.
Experience with LV/MV distribution systems; arc flash awareness.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship; able to travel up to 50%.
Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds; driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

Create test scripts and MOPs for Data Center CX activities.
Set up communication devices and topology of industrial networks; upload HMI/PLC programs.
Integrate 3rd party EPMS; conduct testing, operation, and troubleshooting.
Test MV/LV circuit breakers and switchgear; analyze results.
Conduct Equipment Condition Assessments and electrical troubleshooting/repair.
Provide on-site programming, start-up, checkout, commissioning, and validation; train customers.
Prepare reports and deliver customer training; act as technical resource.
