Job summary

Amazon's Field Innovation team is hiring a Senior Security Engineer to build AI-powered security capabilities for AWS services. You will work directly with customers on threat modeling, vulnerability assessments with security agents, and remediation guidance.

You will collaborate with science, engineering, and partner teams to shape detection coverage, reduce false positives at scale, and expand coverage across cloud resources and AI/ML workloads, delivering real customer impact.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship background in troubleshooting systems issues and log analysis.
• 5+ years in identifying security issues and risks, and developing mitigation plans.
• 5+ years of scripting, programming, and security code reviews.
• Knowledge of at least two of the languages: Scala, Java, Python, C/C++, or Go.
• Experience mentoring or leading an engineering team.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Run early-access and gated previews of AI-powered capabilities with customers.
• Shape detection coverage and influence service roadmaps from customer feedback.
• Drive detection engineering best practices, including false-positive reduction and coverage measurement.
• Stay current with evolving cloud security threats, including AI/ML.
• Collaborate across science, engineering, partner, and field teams with flexible hours for global customers.
