Job summary

Quantum-Si seeks a Senior Field Application Scientist to be the technical product expert supporting sales and customers. You will work with cross-functional teams and drive pre-sales engagements, on-site trainings, and post-sale technical support.

The role requires strong proteomics background, exceptional communication, and the ability to draft experimental plans and demo reports. This is a remote position with substantial travel and a base salary in the six-figure range.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or related field required.
• Masters/PhD preferred but not required if 5+ years of lab experience.
• Prior employment in a similar technical support role or related lab support.
• Experience in proteomics, protein biology, or mass spectrometry is required.
• Theoretical or technical background in Cell Biology, Biochemistry, or NGS.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive and takes initiative.

Responsibilities

• Master protocols, applications, and troubleshooting for all QSI products.
• Understand proteomic applications and how QSI products meet market needs.
• Lead pre-sales meetings, seminars and product evaluations.
• Communicate technical details of QSI products and applications.
• Lead technical discussions in pre-sales with customers, and present datasets.
• Draft experimental plans for customers during product evaluations and set expectations.
• Draft and present demo reports to customers.
• Manage onsite and remote onboarding of QSI products and software.
• Conduct onsite trainings of instrument, software, and reagent workflows.
• Drive instrument utilization at current install base with sales teams.
• Manage technical support cases via CRM (SFDC) and coordinate repairs when needed.
• Promote product positioning and participate in trade shows and marketing collateral.
