Job summary

Responsibilities

Conduct routine, random, and scheduled safety inspections of county projects and facilities to identify hazards and verify compliance.
Document non-compliant conditions, communicate deficiencies to contractors, and track corrective actions.
Receive and document worker safety complaints and maintain confidentiality.
Prepare inspection reports and enter information into tracking systems for safety reporting.
Mentor Safety Inspector I/II staff and help onboard new personnel on procedures and protocols.
Coordinate inspection findings with project managers, contractors, and safety staff.
