Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor, a world leader in advanced semiconductor manufacturing, seeks a Safety Engineer to strengthen our safety culture and hazard elimination.

You will identify hazards, develop control designs, train staff, lead audits and investigations at our Austin FAB, and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Safety, IH, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years’ Health and Safety experience with similar tasks.
• Familiarity with OSHA Construction and General Industry regulations.
• Semiconductor fab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices at a semiconductor facility.
• Develop hazard control designs, procedures, and programs; educate others.
• Measure effectiveness of hazard controls and ensure compliance.
• Review site risk analyses and SOPs for accuracy.
• Lead pre-task plan and risk assessment reviews.
• Support tiered auditing program and corrective actions.
• Conduct incident investigations and site inspections.
• Deliver safety training and lead monthly safety sub-committee meetings.
• Assist daily safety program management and documentation.
