Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a dynamic Safety Technician to lead safety initiatives and develop comprehensive safety-control programs for a leading-edge semiconductor facility in the United States.

The role requires 7+ years in health and safety, OSHA/regulatory expertise, and strong MS Office skills. You will drive hazard awareness, conduct audits, and support a world-class manufacturing operation on-site in Austin.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years in Health & Safety roles.
• Pursuing a recognized safety credential (e.g., CHST, CSHO, ASP, etc.) is a strong plus.
• Solid understanding of hazardous-material handling, associated regulations, and NIOSH standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily on-site safety observations, verify OSHA regulations and SAS Site Safety Programs are followed.
• Attend contractors & vendors safety meetings and contribute to Safety-related Task Force activities.
• Incident response: serve as first responder for on-site injuries/incident reports.
• Conduct initial investigations and document findings promptly.
• Act as Scaffolding Competent Person and inspect scaffolding systems for OSHA sign-off.
• Execute Tier I audits and inspections per EHS programs; identify non-compliances and ensure closure.
