Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an Engineer, Health & Safety to strengthen our safety culture and improve hazard elimination at our Austin facilities. You will develop controls, educate others, and support incident investigations and audits.

The role requires a mechanical or industrial engineering background and hands-on experience with safety tools and modeling software such as Python, LabVIEW, MATLAB, and Ansys CFD/FEA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and related coursework or internship.
• Experience with Python, SolidWorks, and CAD tools.
• Familiarity with LabVIEW, MATLAB, Ansys CFD, and FEA.
• Ability to identify hazards and support safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Improve and control processes and products at SAS facilities.
• Assist with identifying risks that support safety programs for an advanced semiconductor facility.
• Develop hazard control designs, methods, procedures, and programs; advise and educate others.
• Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of hazard control elements.
• Document and track results to support safety program elements.
• Conduct incident investigations, site inspections, identify root causes, and determine corrective actions.
• Conduct employee training on site safety requirements and lead monthly safety committee meetings.
• Support daily management of the tiered auditing program and corrective actions.
