Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Safety Engineer to strengthen our safety culture at a leading semiconductor fab in Texas. You will identify hazards, design controls, and educate teams to comply with site and regulatory requirements.

The role requires 3+ years in health and safety, a related degree, and CSP/CIH/CHMM certification eligibility. You will conduct investigations, audits, and safety meetings to reduce risk and protect workers.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience in Health and Safety performing similar tasks required.
• Bachelor of Science or MS in Safety, IH, Environmental Science, Engineering, or closely related field.
• Certification such as CSP, CIH, CHMM, etc. or ability to be certified required.
• Familiarity with OSHA Regulations (Construction and General Industry) and reporting guidelines.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with all levels of personnel on site required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate, identify, and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices.
• Develop hazard control designs, methods, procedures, and programs; educate others.
• Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of hazard control elements.
• Evaluate task performance for site and regulatory compliance.
• Document and track results to support safety programs.
