Job summary

Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Construction Quality Inspector to support field project needs roughly 55 miles from Idaho Falls, ID. This role ensures construction activities meet contract requirements, codes, and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has extensive construction quality experience, excels in independent field work, communicates effectively, and collaborates with on-site engineers and subcontractors to resolve issues and maintain rigorous documentation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of construction or industrial experience.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and drawings.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; college education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct oversight of inspections to ensure compliance with project specs, codes, and industry standards.
• Evaluate subcontractor workmanship, methods, and material quality.
• Review plans, specifications, shop drawings, procedures, reports, and project correspondence.
• Provide oversight of quality-impacting activities and maintain daily quality reports.
• Identify deviations, communicate nonconformances, and recommend corrective actions to subcontractors.
• Collaborate with on-site engineers and quality representatives to resolve issues.
• Review materials testing, grades, dimensions, and elevation reports.
• Approve contractor and subcontractor submittals.
• Support data collection, documentation, and field/laboratory testing programs.
