Job summary

Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years of property field claims adjusting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business or industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of insurance policies and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to build accurate reconstruction estimates and get stakeholders to agree on costs/timelines.
• Proficiency with Xactimate, XactAnalysis, MS Office and claims software.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Resilience and adaptability in a fast-changing environment.
• Insurance designations or certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Adjust personal, farm, and commercial property claims across Montana with a customer-first approach.
• Determine coverage and conduct field or desk investigations and inspections of damaged property.
• Resolve on-site or virtual structural claims and direct service providers in the field.
• Collaborate with policyholders, agents, contractors, independent adjusters, and vendors to reach timely resolutions.
• Manage workload while maintaining claim quality and timely service.
• Spot and refer claims with subrogation or fraud potential.
• Provide ethical, responsive service on every claim.
• Be available after hours when needed.
