Job summary

HDR is seeking a Resident Project Representative II to lead project oversight in Taylor, Texas. You will read and interpret drawings, verify daily activity records, and participate in meetings with contractors and clients to ensure code compliance and project alignment.

You will supervise inspectors and staff while coordinating with engineers and the project team to maintain punch lists, documentation, and project records, supporting the delivery of complex facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or related experience.
• Minimum of 5 years construction experience on multidisciplinary projects.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications and identify discrepancies or conflicts.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
• Sponsorship (visa) for US employment authorization is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, and identify discrepancies or conflicts
• Review accurate daily records of the inspector’s activities and ensure compliance with building codes
• Attend and/or chair progress meetings with the contractor, owners representatives and clients
• Conduct observations of the installation and acceptance testing of equipment and systems
• Identify nonconforming work, develop punchlists and maintain until corrected
• Develop record documentation for engineer review/acceptance
• Work under general supervision of a Project Manager
• Supervise and direct the activities of administrative staff and Construction Inspectors, and subconsultants
