Job summary

HDR is seeking a Resident Project Representative II to join our Building Engineering Services group in Taylor, Texas. You will read drawings, review daily records, attend meetings, and supervise inspectors and staff to deliver multidisciplinary construction projects.

The role emphasizes coordination with contractors, adherence to codes, and effective communication with clients and engineers. A Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience are required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
• A minimum of 5 years progressive construction experience on multidisciplinary projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Primavera.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, identifying discrepancies.
• Review daily records of inspector activities and ensure compliance with building codes.
• Attend and/or chair progress meetings with contractor, owners' representatives and clients.
• Observe installation and testing of equipment and systems.
• Identify nonconforming work and manage punch lists until corrected.
• Develop record documentation for engineer review/acceptance.
• Work under supervision of a Project Manager.
• Supervise and direct administrative staff, inspectors, and subconsultants.
