Align is recruiting a Field Project Manager - Data Center Liquid Cooling in Phoenix, AZ to lead planning, estimation, and execution of advanced cooling infrastructure for hyperscale and AI data centers. You will coordinate engineers, contractors, and suppliers from design through turnover, ensuring performance and reliability.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with direct-to-chip cooling, rear-door heat exchangers, CDUs, and complex piping, and can travel nationwide up to 50% while

Qualifications

• 7+ years of project, construction, or technical management experience in data centers.
• Demonstrated experience managing liquid cooling projects in hyperscale AI or high-density data centers.
• Practical knowledge of direct-to-chip cooling, rear-door heat exchangers, and CDU manifolds.
• Experience overseeing installation, filling, flushing, testing, and turnover.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, submittals, and identify constructability issues.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, manufacturers, and commissioning agents.
• Strong PM skills across scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, documentation.
• Willingness to travel ~50% nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Lead data center liquid cooling projects from design through turnover.
• Oversee direct-to-chip cooling, rear-door exchangers, and cooling loops.
• Integrate cooling with IT hardware, racks, power, and containment.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, procurement, and vendors.
• Serve as technical liaison among Align, clients, engineers, and contractors.
• Coordinate with design teams for reviews and BIM coordination.
• Direct field teams during liquid cooling installation and commissioning.
• Verify QA and documentation before turnover.
• Coordinate MEP interfaces and cross-discipline interdependencies.
