Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Resident Project Representative to join our Transportation Team in Hawaii. You will lead field inspection, coordination, and documentation for complex multidisciplinary construction programs, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

Applicants should have a Bachelor's in Engineering or related field, 10+ years of construction experience, and strong reading of drawings, contracts, and specs. PE or CCM is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or a related field or combination of education and relevant experience.
• Minimum of 10 years progressive construction experience on multidisciplinary projects.
• Fundamental understanding of contracts; familiarity with codes and laws governing construction.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications; identify discrepancies.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications; identify discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate daily records of contractor activities, labor, equipment, and materials.
• Review construction materials for contract compliance; track quantities and develop pay estimates.
• Attend and/or chair construction progress meetings and assist with project audits/closeout.
• Supervise and direct junior Resident Project Representatives and inspectors.
