Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Transportation Project Manager in the United States (Missouri/Kansas City region) to lead major, multi-discipline transportation efforts. You will direct complex projects, mentor teams, and manage client relations while supporting a wide range of roadway, rail and infrastructure initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 10 years related experience.
• Minimum 5 years project management experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• MS Office and MS Project experience.
• Demonstrated leadership, business development and strategic planning skills.
• Active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project lifecycle (from development & initiation to close-out).
• Responsible for all aspects of large multidiscipline projects or medium-sized projects with high degree of technical complexity, involving a large project staff.
• Produce and coordinate several projects concurrently.
• Support a wide variety of projects including county projects, municipalities, small and large DOT projects, and large national projects.
• Collaborate with other staff and stakeholders across disciplines.
• Establish and maintain client relations and participate in marketing, contractual, design and production meetings.
• Coordinate staffing and workload through entire project lifecycle and ensure deliverables on schedule.
• Track financial aspects of projects and adjust work to meet budget and schedule.
• Work with leadership for periodic project reviews and QA/QC procedures.
• Mentor less-experienced Project Managers.
