Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Resident Project Representative to lead field activities on multidisciplinary construction projects in Indiana and other client sites. You will read drawings, track progress, review materials for compliance, and prepare pay estimates while coordinating with the project team and stakeholders.

The role requires extensive on-site work, strong communication skills, and a track record in data center or similar construction environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or combination of education and relevant experience.
• At least 10 years of progressive construction experience on multidisciplinary projects.
• Fundamental understanding of contracts; familiarity with codes and laws governing construction.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications and identify discrepancies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to coordinate with contractors, clients, inspectors, and project team.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction drawings and specs; identify discrepancies or conflicts.
• Maintain accurate daily records of contractor activities, labor, equipment, and materials.
• Review construction materials for contract compliance.
• Track quantities and develop pay estimates for acceptance.
• Attend and/or chair construction progress meetings.
• Observe installation and testing of completed equipment and systems.
• Identify nonconforming work and develop punch lists; maintain until corrected.
• Develop record documentation for engineer review/acceptance.
• Assist with project audit/closeout.
• Work under supervision of a Design Project Manager.
• Supervise junior Resident Project Representatives and subconsultants.
