Job summary

Cotswold Archaeology in Andover is seeking a Senior Project Officer to lead the archaeological direction and site management of major field projects. You will ensure performance targets are met, oversee recording to required standards, and author reports for publication.

The role requires proven experience on large projects, strong leadership, budget and timeline management, and the ability to liaison with sponsors and clients.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising large fieldwork and desk-based projects.
• Ability to write reports to publication standard.
• Budget, timelines and client liaison management.
• Full manual driving licence and willingness to drive company vehicles.
• Membership of CIfA at ACIFA level or willingness to join.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site delivery of projects to time, budget, quality and safety.
• Develop and coach staff to improve performance and practices.
• Ensure quality of site records and suitability for publication.
• Author reports to publication standard.
• Monitor progress and report to Project Managers; liaise with clients and regulators.
