Job summary

Cotswold Archaeology is seeking a Project Supervisor to lead fieldwork projects from Andover with a focus on publication and dissemination of findings. The role involves delivering projects to time, cost and quality targets while ensuring health and safety compliance.

The successful candidate will have knowledge of Britain’s archaeology, supervision experience, and strong report-writing skills, with opportunities for career progression and attendance at professional bodies.

Qualifications

• Sound knowledge of archaeological practice and British archaeology.
• Experience supervising small to medium fieldwork projects (evaluations/excavations).
• Ability to author fieldwork reports efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Lead specified fieldwork projects to time, budget, quality and safety standards.
• Coach and develop Archaeologists and Trainees through regular feedback and toolbox talks.
• Oversee site records and archives to required standards and liaise with clients and authorities.
