Job summary

Weaver Consultants Group seeks a Senior Project Engineer to join the Solid Waste CQA team in the Southwest Practice Group. The role covers field work across several states, ensuring quality assurance and control for landfill components and associated systems.

The candidate will supervise engineering technicians, collaborate with senior staff, and assist in producing certification reports. Travel up to 25% is required, with strong communication and leadership skills essential.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years experience in construction and/or engineering with QA focus.
• Bachelor's in Civil/Environmental/Construction Engineering (or similar). Bonus for EIT/PE license.
• Travel availability to cover staff PTO/site visits.
• Experience with nuclear density gauge is preferred.
• Strong contract/plan/spec/regulation understanding for construction projects.
• Good written and oral communication and leadership skills.
• Solid people skills with cross-functional team management.

Responsibilities

• Supervise QA/QC activities in multiple states, including landfill components.
• Direct supervision of engineering technicians across sites.
• Coordinate with senior staff for field documentation and reports.
• Assist PM with finalizing field data for certification reports.
• Be available to address emergencies with the project team.
• Coordinate field equipment with field staff on a project basis.
• Manage multiple major activities and resolve arising issues.
• Build strong relationships with owners, managers, designers, and field staff.
