Job summary

ReModern Builders LLC in Watertown, MA is hiring a Production Manager to lead field operations across active projects, managing the field team, budgets and change orders. The role reports to the owner and requires hands-on leadership on-site with travel across Greater Boston and MetroWest.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in high-end residential construction, strong coordination skills, and familiarity with Buildertrend and Excel.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in high-end residential construction, remodeling or custom homes.
• Experience as Production Manager, Project Manager, General Superintendent or similar senior field role.
• Proven track record managing Superintendents, foremen and carpenters.
• Experience pricing and managing change orders and tracking job budgets against actual cost.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, carpentry, building systems and subcontractor coordination.
• Able to run multiple active projects at once and read plans and specifications.
• Buildertrend experience strongly preferred; proficient with Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Spanish or Portuguese is a plus, not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead all field operations across active projects, reporting directly to the owner.
• Manage and hold accountable two Superintendents, an Assistant Superintendent and our in-house carpentry crew.
• Build and run the weekly labor plan across all jobs, including scheduling outside carpenters, framers and specialty crews.
• Own all change orders: gather costs from subs and suppliers, price them, and secure client approval.
• Own the rolling job budget and cost to complete in Buildertrend once in production.
• Visit active jobsites regularly to check schedule, quality, safety and cleanliness.
• Enforce SOPs with the field team, including site setup, daily logs and 24h email response.
• Serve as first escalation for injuries, near misses and field mistakes; lead follow-up.
• Hold subs to standards for workmanship, communication and schedule.
• Coach Superintendents to prevent delays and cost overruns.
• Provide field input on pricing and constructability during preconstruction.
• Step in and run a project directly when needed.
