Job summary

ASM International seeks a Senior HVM Field Process Engineer to optimize tALD, PEALD, or LPCVD deposition on XP8 DCM/QCM or Sonora platforms at customer sites. You will lead tool installations, ramp-ups, DOE studies, and process qualifications, delivering stable, high-throughput results.

You’ll travel up to 25% to support customers, collaborate with global teams, and develop technical documentation. A strong background in chemical engineering and semiconductor manufacturing is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with tALD, PEALD or LPCVD processes and vacuum systems.
• High-volume manufacturing experience preferred with ASM platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site process qualification and optimization during tool installations and ramp-up.
• Track and verify compliance with customer specifications throughout installation and ramp-up.
• Design and execute experiments to improve film quality, uniformity and throughput.
• Troubleshoot process issues; drive containment and long-term corrective actions.
• Collaborate with customer and internal ASM teams to drive improvements.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for stakeholders.
