Advanced Engineering and Environmental Services, Inc. seeks a Senior Construction Services Specialist to provide on-site observation, inspection, and field oversight for a major water infrastructure project near Carrington, ND.

This year-round, long-term position supports Owners, Engineers, and Contractors to ensure quality and schedule adherence. Candidates bring 12+ years in heavy civil and vertical construction, strong communication, and the ability to lead teams in the field.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive construction experience on large or complex projects.
• Extensive mass grading, heavy civil, and vertical/facility construction.
• Broad knowledge of engineering principles as they relate to complex projects.
• Strong understanding of sequencing, field coordination, and multidisciplinary delivery.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Ability to work independently as a senior technical resource.
• Pre-employment onboarding requirements may include background checks, drug screen, and MVR.

Responsibilities

• Lead onsite construction observation, inspection, and documentation for large-scale projects.
• Monitor contractor activities to verify compliance with plans, specs, and quality.
• Serve as field representative between Owner, Engineer, and Contractor.
• Review and document progress, RFIs, pay apps, testing results, and records.
• Participate in meetings and coordinate schedules, materials, and change orders.
• Identify challenges early and develop solutions to protect schedules and costs.
• Provide leadership to AE2S field staff and ensure documentation quality.
• Support project managers in budgets, progress tracking, and schedules.
• Mentor junior staff and advance construction management practices.
