For Our Future seeks a Senior Organizer in Lansing, Michigan to lead and grow our local field program. The Senior Organizer will recruit, train, and manage volunteers, run in-person and virtual outreach, and coordinate with digital organizing to advance our pro-worker agenda.

Ideal candidates bring canvassing or organizing experience, comfort with long hours and metrics, and strong teamwork. This role runs through November 2026 and involves significant travel in the Capital Region.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience as a canvasser and/or organizer.
• At least one cycle of experience on a grassroots issue advocacy, legislative accountability, civic engagement, or electoral campaign (volunteer or staff).
• Strong knowledge of Votebuilder/VAN.
• Basic computer literacy and access to a reliable laptop preferred.
• Ability to work long and irregular hours in a high‑productivity, metrics‑driven environment.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license/insurance/registration, and clean driving record for at least 1 year, unless exempted.
• Bilingual experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsabilités

• Plan and oversee a robust volunteer recruitment, training, and management program, both virtual and in-person.
• Meet assigned goals on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
• Monitor personal and volunteer metrics including network mapping, recruitment metrics, voter contact attempts per shift, flake rate, completion rate, and confirmation rate.
• Prioritize quality voter, volunteer, and community interactions.
• Attend and facilitate trainings on network organizing and outreach strategies.
• Collaborate with organizing and digital organizing leadership to plan and implement new outreach strategies.
• Build and manage community events in execution of our field and organizing strategy.
