MI United is seeking a Canvassing Fellow Lead to direct door-to-door outreach and voter engagement for the 2026 election cycle. You will mentor fellows, uphold high standards for conversation quality, and support program launches and onboarding across Michigan.

Based in Lansing, this in-person role emphasizes rapid canvassing deployment, data integrity, and active participation in training and leadership development. A strong commitment to racial and economic justice is essential.

Qualifications

• Commitment to MI United Action’s theory of change and social justice.
• Ability to engage diverse communities respectfully and effectively.
• Willingness to learn and grow as a leader or organizer.
• Experience working with diverse staff is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead canvassing efforts through door-to-door outreach.
• Set standards for conversation quality and data integrity.
• Shadow fellows and provide feedback on conversations.
• Support launches, onboardings and team culture.
• Record conversations in the MiniVAN app and debrief daily.
• Participate in training curricula and staff development.
