Job summary

PLANIT Group is seeking a skilled field technician in Connecticut to manage installations, cabling, and network equipment in client sites. You will coordinate with project managers, support teams, and customers to ensure reliable service delivery and documentation.

The role requires 5+ years in data communications, knowledge of Cisco gear, and strong troubleshooting ability. On-site work with some remote support is expected, with focus on safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in data communications.
• Basic knowledge of Cisco Phones, switches and routers.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day service operations for installations and deployments.
• Maintain a customer service oriented environment and document issues and actions.
• Perform installation and service of low voltage cabling and fiber optics.
• Patch cabling between network equipment and customer networks.
• Install, configure and test network assets in data centers and closets.
• Respond to emergencies and meet SLA expectations.
