Job summary

PlanIT Group, LLC is seeking a Field Technician to manage installation, deployment and service operations for electrical and data communications systems. You will install low voltage cabling, fiber, and network devices, test performance, and document issues and resolutions.

You will also support project planning, coordinate with teams, and troubleshoot network problems to meet client SLAs. A valid driver’s license and basic networking knowledge are required; travel to client sites is expected.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in data communications.
• Basic knowledge of Cisco Phones, switches and routers.
• Basic networking knowledge of LAN/WAN.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day service operations for installations, delivery and deployment.
• Maintain customer service orientation and document issues and resolutions.
• Support project planning, resource planning and task delegation.
• Install and service low voltage cabling and fiber optic cabling.
• Test and configure network assets in data centers and closets.
• Coordinate with North American Commercial Services teams for projects.
