Job summary

Oumi is seeking its first Senior Field ML Engineer to bridge technical excellence and customer success. You will design, train, and deploy AI models on our platform, collaborating with research, product, and engineering to deliver world-class experiences for customers and open communities.

You will lead pre- and post-sales activities, train customers, and help shape product direction while translating research into practical solutions. Remote or hybrid options available across major US locations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in applied ML, ML infrastructure, or solution engineering roles.
• Solid understanding of ML workflows and training/fine-tuning modern models (LLMs, diffusion, multimodal).
• Proficient in Python with practical experience in model training frameworks and deploying LLMs in production.

Responsibilities

• Drive success with customers through pre- and post-sales lifecycle, demos, PoC design, and hands-on training.
• Create custom models by training, fine-tuning, and evaluating modern AI models on Oumi’s platform.
• Design scalable ML workflows with best practices in data prep, training, and deployment.
